Senate Greenlights NCC’s N549.6 Billion Budget for 2024
The Senate, through the National Assembly’s Communications Committees, has given the nod to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for its 2024 budget, totaling N549.6 billion.
During a joint session chaired by Senator Ikra Bilbis, the committees reviewed the proposal, attended by the NCC’s CEO, Dr. Aminu Maida. The budget sailed through with unanimous approval from committee members.
Dr. Maida addressed lawmakers’ queries on security, revenue generation, and data protection, outlining measures to boost compliance and collaboration with security agencies. Lawmakers commended the NCC’s fiscal prudence and urged enhanced agency operations.
